One of the cornerstones of WWE‘s meteoric rise in the late 1990s, Mick Foley is known worldwide as professional wrestling’s “Hardcore Legend”. Known for his ability to absorb seemingly inhuman punishment, Foley finished a match in Munich, Germany, despite the loss of his right ear, and endured falls both off and through a 16 foot cell structure against The Undertaker in June, 1998 – a match that has taken on almost mystical proportions. He became WWE champion for the first time in December 1998 with a dramatic victory over Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that is seen by many as the most important match in the era of WWE’S “Monday Night Wars”. Foley and Johnson would lose – and then reclaim the title from Johnson, before the two joined forces to become the “Rock and Sock Connection” – an incredibly popular tag-team that allowed both men to showcase their comedic abilities.

With retirement looming, Foley penned his memoir “Have a Nice Day” – by hand, without the aid of a ghost-writer – and the book stunned the literary world by hitting number one on the New York Times best-seller list – and stayed on the list for 26 weeks. Foley followed the success of the book with a second memoir, “Foley is Good”, which also hit number one on the New York Times list. All told, Mick has written eleven books (5 memoirs, 4 children’s books and two novels) an in so doing, established himself as wrestling’s premiere story-teller – showcasing his ability to write laugh-out-loud stories, as well as provide moments that were alternately touching, cringe-inducing and just outright bizarre. In 2003, Foley began the transition of taking stories from the written page, and bringing them to life on the stage, and has had two of his one man shows – 2015’s “Cheap Pops” and 2018’s “20 Years of Hell” – broadcast on the WWE Network to high acclaim.

Mick is currently on his “Nice Day Tour” and is very excited to be performing in Buffalo, with 100% of proceeds from the event going directly to the “Buffalo 5/14 Survivors Fund”
